Trip to England
We started our trip on 29 of March. We stayed in Worthing. On the first day we met our families. The weather was not so good, but we liked the dinner with our new parents. Every morning we attended an English course. This course helped us to improve our English. It was a nice experience with interesting teachers. Daily after school we visited beautiful sights of England.
On the second day we visited “Arundel Castle”. There are nearly 1,000 years of history at this great castle, situated in magnificent grounds overlooking the River Arun in West Sussex and built at the end of the 11th century by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel. The grounds, together with the keep and gatehouse, have been open to visitors since 1800 and the gardens since 1854.
On the third day we went to Brighton. Brighton is a seaside resort and the largest part of the City of Brighton and Hove situated in England. We visited many interesting places like the city center (called “The Lanes”), shops, restaurants. The most beautiful sight of Brighton that we liked very much was the Brighton Pier. It opened in 1899. It is generally known as the Palace Pier for short but has been informally renamed Brighton Pier since 2000 by its owners.
On the other days we visited big cities like Portsmouth and London.
Portsmouth is the second largest city in the ceremonial country of Hampshire on the south coast of England. Located mainly on Portsea Island, it is the United Kingdom’s only island city. In this city we saw historic ships like “HMS Warrior” and “HMS Victory”
The best part of our trip was the day in London. This is a very beautiful city with many sights. We saw many interesting and popular places like The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the London Eye. At the end of the day we visited Madame Tussaud’s.
